How does Restaurant Values provide a business valuation ?

A restaurant is an income producing business entity. Therefore, we analyze that income in several ways: Gross Income; restaurant's Asset's & Net Income; Income/Market Capitalization - or a comparison with the sales/income per capita for the restaurant's location; Return on Investment; and Excess Earnings. We also support this analysis by using data from CBI's (Certified Business Intermediaries) on actual restaurant businesses sold

What formulas/methods are used ?

Formulas/methods used may include: 'Asset-based Valuation'; 'Capitalization of Income Valuation'; 'Market adjusted multiplier Valuation'; adjusted 'Excess Earnings Valuation'; adjusted 'Capital Investment to Sales'; and 'Return on Investment Valuation'

What's the process ?

Simply fill out 4 input forms (or use acceptable substitutes) that we supply you via email [PDF files if you use on-line order for deposit], or via Priority mail [when you print & mail in deposit form]. Information needed includes: P&L statement (at least 1 yr) with one-time or special expenses noted, if any; a list of FF&E assets (Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment) included in the sale and a depreciation report, if available; an input form on operation details (i.e. hours/days of service, length of current ownership, etc.). Once we have complete information, processing time is 3-5 days. Your valuation report is then shipped to you according to your order request when you put down your deposit.

Who is Restaurant Values ?

An INDEPENDENT Restaurant Consulting firm that has NO vested interest in the business value (not a restaurant or business broker that gets a percentage commission based upon the business value). A Licensed VALUATOR since 1980 providing restaurant, catering firm, and nightclub valuations. Restaurant Values is also a member of  ASPC, plus adheres to their Code of Ethics.

When do I receive my Restaurant Valuation Report ?

Once we receive complete information from the input forms (or acceptable substitutes) on the restaurant, it takes 3-5 business days to process your Restaurant Valuation Report. The RVP will be shipped out according to your shipping instructions - when you put down your deposit. Upon receipt of your valuation report - the remaining balance is due.

How can a prospective buyer get the needed info ?

Explain to the owner or broker that you are a viable buyer. As a BUYER, you have the 'right' to see what income and nets (P&L) the restaurant has been generating. YOU must also know when acquired & what 'assets' (FF&E) are included in the sale - otherwise YOU are "blind investing" your hard-earned money.
